Dialogues, part one

“There are a lot of choices out there, dude. I want to do all this stuff but…”

“So what? You’re not happy focusing on one or two things?”

“Well, no. I’m afraid, SUPER afraid of what I’d be missing.”

“Like what?”

“Like…watching my brain develop under different settings. I like having epiphanies. Would having epiphanies in science be as cool as having epiphanies in music? Or vice versa? I just feel like part of me has drifted away from music, towards something else.”

“What is the something else?”

“I don’t know! That’s what’s driving me nuts.”

“That’s too bad. You’ll be a drifter then.”

“Shut up.”

“No, I’m not kidding. You’ll seriously be a drifter.”

“…okay, well is that so bad?”

“Is it? Will you regret a lifetime of unfinished goals, projects, commitments?”

“Man, I hate you so much.”
